Then and Now: Mission to Ord Mantel

In the wave of posting old stuff, here is something I like. Something like two years ago, I revisited a piece I had drawn (and posted here), showing a scene of my Star Wars fanfiction. 
This is Mara Jade and her temporary apprentice, Daykin Elessian, on a raid against pirates in the vicinity of the Wheel. Daykin is my main OC for the story.
Since the original drawing, I have acquired Painter and a better version of Photoshop! So I thought I'd show the tweakings I made.

Below: same picture reworked on Painter and Photoshop, with lightsaber effects redone, the hair cut of Daykin has been changed (ironically, on the project I'm currently working on, he'll get his ponytail back!).
